An experiment in abstraction

What began with the roses in my mother's garden ended as a small abstract mystery. The roses in full bloom were visible throughout the entire creative process and then gradually disappeared under layers of paint and paper scraps.

Vanished into the distance - as if one had taken a few steps back and viewed the entire garden from afar.

Working title: abstract roses

Bold application of paint with a palette knife... I like it. On this small surface, I was able to let loose and experiment with a variety of tools and materials.
