What does she see? What does she perceive? Or is she in a completely different dimension?

To me, she has something wonderfully mysterious about her, and I would love to perceive what she perceives and know what she sees.

The story...

behind the launch of this work means a lot to me personally. We were in the process of creating my first website. It was a big step for me because I'm rather reserved and don't like to take center stage. But what good is art if no one sees it?

To make the homepage inviting and lively, Gilles suggested that we make a video of me at work. I thought it was a really good idea, but I was so inhibited. I didn't like most of the photos or videos of myself and had reservations.

Video recordings – how do we do that? Is there a script? No.
Just be creative, play with colors and materials... it'll be fine.

Sure, I'll just get started and do it. Without a plan and without a goal.

No joke, the first video session was like jumping into ice-cold water for me. I had no idea what to do. Normally, I take more time and don't think things like: What if this looks stupid? Does he know what he's doing? How do I look on camera?

Starting with a blank canvas, with acrylic inks, wax crayons, and collage elements...

Now it was time to make quick decisions and just do it without thinking - after all, we didn't have forever. After the first shoot, I was exhausted.

Three weeks later, during the second shoot, it was easier - although I still didn't know exactly how to proceed, after the first experience, it was now just a question of mindset.

Think pink!

That's also the working title of this piece. There's not much pink left to see, but my self-confidence has grown, I've become brave enough to show myself, and I've also become more confident artistically and just went for it.
